EME by LA8YB
EME (Earth-Moon-Earth)A technique where they send their signals to the moon, that they then reflected back to earth.

Finn Jensen, LA8YB, went Silent Key in 2011 at the age of 82. His obituary (in Norwegian) is on the NRRL pages.

LA3F club was the first time in 1998 to see his LA8YB EME station.  7  May 2005 we visited the Finnn again, and now the antenna was completed and operational.  Thanks til Finn for a warm welcome, waffles and coffee!

Finn's layout is presumably the greatest in the world.
32 Yagis in one stacked array as the following pictures show.  Each yagi has 17 elements and is 10 meters long.  Each yagi have??  dB gain.  Altogether this provides >29 dB gain.  Finn is licensed for high output for EME and his PA is good for 1500W.

LA8YB posing at the coax.  Yeah it's coax, not downspouts from the gutter!
